A mood shows the writer's attitude toward what he or she is saying.

Indicative Mood

"Indicative mood" states an actuality or fact. Any verb form or tense can be used in indicative mood sentences.


·   We will see a movie this Sunday.

·   I will follow you.

·   It will rain today.

·   She is studying for a test.

·   We are watching TV.


Imperative Mood

"Imperative mood" makes a request or gives a command.


·   Let's see a movie this weekend.

·   Please stop bothering me!

·   Please leave now!

·   Close the door.

·   Don't touch that!
